How Many Districts Does Los Angeles Have?

Los Angeles County is divided into five oversight districts (SD), each of which is represented by a supervisor who looks after a population of around two million people.

County also has congressional districts that overlap with adjacent counties. Districts 23, 25, 26, 27, 35, 39 and 47 are all included. Trade Technical College and West Los Angeles College are two of the most important educational institutions in the area, providing educational opportunities to tens of thousands of students.

Carson, Compton, East Dominguez Ranch, Florence-Graham (Part), Long Beach (Part), Los Angeles (Part), Lynwood, South Gate, Walnut Park, West Rancho Dominguez and Willowbrook are all part of District 37.This district is home to Alondra Park, Del Aire, Gardena, Hawthorne, Inglewood (Part), Lawndale, Lennox, Lomita, Los Angeles (Part), Torrance (Part), West Athens, West Carson and Westmont. It is also home to two Summer Olympics and a variety of important and remarkable historic monuments, museums and cultural attractions that add to the heritage and pride of Los Angeles County and the nation as a whole. Burbank (Part), Glendale, La Cañada Flintridge, La Crescenta-Montrose, Los Angeles (Part), Pasadena (Part) and West Hollywood are all part of this district.
