What is the City of Los Angeles?

The most precise definition of Los Angeles is the CITY of Los Angeles (excluding all neighboring areas). This city has 462 square miles of land and is home to 3.8 million people living in various neighborhoods. The northernmost part of the CITY of Los Angeles is located in the expansive San Fernando Valley. Although these cities are part of Los Angeles County, they have little to do with the county in terms of everyday matters.
